>>1536445It's pretty good when it's cold, windy and dry (or at least so cold that you'll have snow that won't melt instead of torrential rain) at which point the cut, features and breathability of the materials make it a good choice to layer over your other things. Cotton isn't good as a baselayer or an insulating layer but it does have its applications as a shell of sorts.
There's probably better choices but it is at least a decent choice since you'll likely have to compromise in other areas if you want something different but similar.

>WaterproofDefinitely uncomfy to do anything in. It'll either keep rain out and your sweat in or it will wet out eventually. If you want something to handle rain it's not really going to be clothing and is going to fall more into the poncho area.
