I got a pair of Columbia boots on off-season close /out/ at Famous Footwear. They've held up well considering I wore them almost daily all winter for work, plus if they shit out it's not like I'm losing a big investment.

I've got myself a nice new pair of northwest territory leather boots only come up past the ankles not full shin length real nice so far but haven't truley tested their durability.

i bought a pair of kamik alborgs in the middle of summer which made them 'cheap' but not excessively cheap (they look exactly like the pic you used)

I supplemented them with spare ski boot insoles inside the liner and then wool/foil insoles between the liner and the rubber base

can't fault them
