caughht first good fish for eating yesterday, it was outside for about 5-6 hours then was put in the fridge overnight. is it safe to eat today?

I agree I just wanted some second opinions because it’s my GF’s family that is going to eat it and we didn’t keep the fish in ice and we just kept it on a deck for hours with mosquitoes

Eh it's going to taste pretty fishy but you're not going to die if you cook it properly. Too bad for your gf's family if you were planning on showing off, it might not taste the freshest

Next time keep in in a bucket or stringer, or at least gut and bleed it if you're taking it out of the water
