>>158445Seabase was cool as fuck. I wish I had gone with more people from my troop, though.
In 09 my best friend and I joined a troop from Pittsburgh or some shit, and so they put us on the boat with the 2 retarded kids and their dads. It was a weird fucking trip, and we only put the sail up once. My friend and I were the only competent people on the boat, aside from our slightly racist captain, Chuck.
>pic related, it was like being on a boat with Danny DeVito.I lost my glasses overboard, and had to wear my prescription sunglasses all the time if I wanted to see, so basically once it got dark I was fucking blind.
The night after I lost my glasses, I went into the cabin to get my sleeping bag, reached through the window and put it on the deck in its compression sack, and then watched it roll into the sea as soon as I let go. I tried to grab it with the boat hook, but it was already swept away by the tide.
So then I stripped down to my underwear, threw on a life vest, and jumped in after it. This is all at around midnight, and my friend and I are the only ones up. So, I get about 50 ft away from the boat and can't see this bag anywhere, and I had to give up and swim back to the boat.
Also, since only half of our crew was actually cut out for being on a boat, we spent a day and a half docked at some resort town on Duck Key.
In retrospect, that was kind of a shitty trip, but boats are rad. Northern Tier was better.
