I got it as a gift and thought it was a weird gimmicky piece of garbage. I boil my water on the trail and use iodine if I can't boil for some reason. I brought it on a trip one weekend anyway, and it was awesome for when we hid all our stuff behind some rocks and hiked the nearest peak. Anytime I got thirsty all I had to do was dip the sucker in the stream and drink. I didn't have to stop and do anything - just drink.
Still wouldn't make it my main bottle, especially since with those holes along the side of the filter it sucks in AIR when the water gets below the holes. Fuck that shit.
