Not really, I don't really camp alone. Just hikes, so I'm never isolated for longer than like 3 days. If I did a whole week camping trip alone, I'd probably be lonely though. At the same time, other people always manage to make me seethe on camping trips by doing shit with zero common sense and being dangerously underprepared.

Honestly going innawoods has taught me that for whatever reason, i'm still afraid to just be by myself. Just to be alone with my thoughts and no distractions. I still struggle with this.

Last time I went I could barely sleep 1.) because I could clearly see that the campsite had been previously torn up by what looked like a dozen hogs and 2.) I can't just be still by myself or fall asleep on my own without distractions. Anyone else have this issue?

I can't really deal with day to day life in a city. Maybe because my life is pretty mundane and shitty but it slowly but steadily grinds down my will to live. Only cure I have found so far is drugs, reading and pain.

that's what I like about winter camping. when you're winter camping there's a primal part of your brain that constantly tihnks about how to stay warm and not die. And then the suicidal thoughts go away, because you're fighting to survive.

camping in warm weather leaves too much room for distractions and getting lost in your thoughts. I at least try to find something else like taking pics or fishing

Here's the weird predicament i'm in. I'm not suicidal or anything, but I live in a pretty major city in the south. I totally understand how silly the urbanite mindset is. All of the consumption, vapid shit, asocial behavior.

I flee to the woods and want to feel comfort or something in it, but I'm too domesticated. I know the city is poison, but I'm not bred for the wilderness either.

I think I might by a cheap plot of land and just throw a shed on it that I can sleep in. Something about sleeping totally exposed makes my skin crawl and my thoughts run.

doesn't matter if im with someone, camping, not camping, whatever.
