Anyone else think the mosquitoes and flies are fucking awful this year? If it wasn't for a headnet I would have ended it all. I don't remember anything like it.

I did it. Its not that bad. The Cathedral route to the summit is more dangerous than Knife's Edge, IMO.

It's actually not that bad, but there are a couple sections where you have to drop down/ climp up over ~6 foot tall ledges so it's good to go with a buddie to help you up and down. But if you're not a manlet you'll be able to do it just fine if you take off your pack.

Maybe there are alternate routes, but I distinctly remember a portion of knife's edge having a couple rock ledges like this. If you're going solo you probably just throw your pack over/down and then clim up/drop down.

That looks like beehive trail, people have unironically died there because there are sections of it where you are inches away from +100 ft drops, I did knife's edge on Katahdin and beehive trail felt sketchier. Anyways, yes you should go anon, its probably the best NP for eastcoasties.

Hiking Tuck tomorrow. Has anyone been up the Huntington Ravine trail? I’ve been up tucks before and am thinking of doing something a bit different.
