Hey /out/, never really been here, nice place you've got.
I'll just state my business though:
Is full-on ditching civilization and going into Nature/the Wild to live in a basic hunter-gatherer (with some agriculture to the extent of the available) lifestyle feasible as a lone man? No relying on society or outer tools at all, just make-shift living in the moment with whatever resources are at reach.
Doable?
Sorry if this reads stupid, never been an /out/fag but just been wondering if I could pull off going wild with no other cares than survival. Please help me o ye wise ones. Thanks.

Few years ago I started lurking /out/ to find answer to exact that question. The answer is: no, that's not doable to an average person.

There are 3 main problems with abandoning society:
1) Food.
Surviving by eating only what you'll forage is impossible in the long term, and everyone who does that in short term is basically fasting. You either have to hunt big game (which is usually illegal in the quantity that you'd need) or farming. To survive by eating what you'll farm you'll need to own around 2ha of land, which brings us to another problem:
2) Land.
You can't just choose a place at random and start living there - it already belongs to someone. The only solution is having your own land. And land is expensive. If you want to stay away from people you'll need either a lot of land (expensive!), land that's somehow separated (like your own island - expensive!) or land that's in a place where nobody else wants to live. The last category means really extreme conditions, like winters with -60*C or deserts where nothing will grow.
3) Money.
As mentioned before to even start out you'll need a lot of money. No matter what kind of land you'll own, you'll need to pay taxes. That means you'll need a job, some way of sending money to your government etc. Alternative is going to jail.

That's basically why I lost all hope for going hermit mode.

But to be fair I've heard of one story about a person that didn't own any land and yet survived for years away from people. He was a soldier abandoned in a jungle; he didn't believe messages about end of WW2 and didn't return to his base. He could survive on his own because he lived in a warm climate, government thought that he was dead and he was alright with stealing tools and food from farmers (so he wasn't that isolated either).

plus I'm sure he had recieved some sort of training to prepare him for the enviroment he was entering. You've got to know a lot to do what OP is suggesting.

This is the only way you're going to make it. At least attend a hunter/trapper course for a hunting license before you wander off. Certain game is open all year, depending on where you live. Trapping is going to be a BIG part of your life, and I'm not talking rabbits. So learn how to do it, and buy a LOAD of traps. Learn how to field dress game and how to build a smoke house because you're not going to have an easy supply of salt to tap into unless you're squatting in a salt mine.
