>>1547389Well, I don't think that pertains to the thread that much. Yes, Ted did things he shouldn't have done but the book provides insight into a deeper cultural change and the future impact. Only reason I put the B*ll of R*ghts thing is simply because we are in fact losing our freespeech rights. Doesn't mean I think it's okay to go around saying you're going to do something bad but it does mean that I think you shouldn't have to control what you think to fit other people's feelings/agendas. Also the first and second were written to combat the possibility of a g*vernment who replicates the British g*vt's tyr*any.
Slippery slope. Post N*ne/Eleven, the level of paranoia and distrust is getting to an extreme level and it's breaking down our society.
'Lists' have been around for a long time and don't necessarily mean you're an active threat or whatever but it does mean that they're cataloging people. Much like a corporation data-mines people without consent. Much like how every street corner is filled with cameras with facial recognition. We're not going down a good path for the future of our civilization.
