Should I worry about bugs killing me? I live in Texas and have a handful of bugs I'm pretty familiar with. I go running my woods and there are tons of spiders blocking the trails with webs as well as some other bugs in the leaves and shit.
I don't care about being but but what are the odds the bites will kill me? I want to start running through the webs with my hands out or something because in tired if stopping to clear the web.

I have an old jansport alice, the frame seems to be solid but the straps aren't great. They seem to be only held on by screws going through rivets is it worth upgrading the straps and bag or should I get a new one? Are jansport alices generally durable?

as far as i know it's still a good bag. You should see if Jansport would honor the lifetime warranty. I'm still rocking a Trip-Pak-1, have to replace parts now and again but the bag and frame itself are still going strong.

I think it depends on what kind of wood you want to cut. If you want it for firewood where you cut premade logs with the grain then a higher angle would get a better wedge effect. If you want to cut fresh trees against the grain then a shallow grind gives you more penetration and bites deeper.
