I want to go to Argentina and hike to the top of the Aconcagua (6962m over sea level). Apparently it's not a very technical hike, there's no climbing or anything weird involved. Temperatures are low however, around -20C at night even in the summer (december-january). It's about 5-6 days each way, I think.

I've never done anything like this. My longest hike was a day hike with 1000m elevation.

Am I insane? Any protips?
