>>1556233Currently working a maintenance position for the summer at a local state park. The rangers can be brutal and hell to deal with at times but I work 40 hours a week outdoors and I like it. Used to work at an office part-time during college but I absolutely hated myself. Glad to be working outside again.
Be aware that most outdoor jobs, including park rangers and conservation/Fish and Game officers, can be seasonal work and you'll be laid off for winter months depending on your state.
Park rangers basically just roam around the park doing maintenance on slow days and dealing with morons on the busy ones. Conservation officers ride around through the woods and lakes and enforce hunting/fishing/etc laws. Just about every ranger I've talked to aims to be a CO.
Be prepared to go through academies and deal with government bullshit. Also be aware you'll have to deal with these people and every one you have to talk to is a fucking moron and should be Thanos snapped away.
