Avalung will help once you're buried. Personally I'd rather not get buried, so I went with an airbag pack. The prices on those have come down a lot (I paid over $1,000 for mine a few years ago, now you can get them for less than half that).
Beacon, shovel, probe, education on how to use them, and ride with buddies that have the same. I do not want to go to another funeral for a friend killed in an avalanche ever again.
