>>1560928Hah, I'm really just a dumbass. I rode that bike as my primary through Minnesota winters AND summers for 2 or 3 seasons in a row, without ever reinstalling the dropper post. I was lucky enough to mostly avoid salt during the winter but over 2-3 years I'm sure that doesn't matter much.
So I've been trying to get penetrating oil in there for a few weeks, and my latest attempt at twisting it free involved a 2-foot pipe wrench. No dice. I'm as surprised as you, AFAIK galvanic corrosion (or whatever the usual cause of seizing is) doesn't happen with carbon/aluminum.
I figure my next option is to heat cycle the post with a torch and really hammer on that pipe wrench. I also figure I will end up with a busted-ass seat tube at some point but, idk, carbon is p strong...
