Go to Google News and search "flesh eating bacteria" for endless recent articles. The water is warming and it's coming more and more. Also note that the articles often mention not going into the water if you have pre existing lesions, compromised immune system, diabetes and such, yet very, very few of the articles mention the specific case having any of those. I've seen them on not only Gulf, but E and W coasts as well, though to a lesser degree. Anyway, I would sleep in a tick bed before I'd want this shit. At least it's kind of a fast death, sometimes within hours.
