It was a good starting point, has been /out/ with me many, many times, and it still cuts just fine.
At the end of the day I've concluded it's made for finishing and quartering large game. It's a hunting knife, and it's very good at that job considering the $40 I paid for it. For a camp knife, it serves... but my $9 Mora is handier and sharper. The 119 is heavy and large for a utility belt knife. And for shelter-building, the blade grind and profile aren't quite right.
