Northern Minnesotan here, not near the shore. Have fished superior a few times, would recommend the north shore to anybody wanting an amazing trip/honeymoon. If you've got a woman who loves nature and sightseeing, you'll have to crawl around after the first night.

Coming up to visit on Wednesday. Some friends and I will be staying on a cabin in the keweenaw and be driving around lake superior. gonna take a kayaking introductory course and do some sea kayaking, perhaps some sailing, also. Pretty stoked. taking my girlfriend up there, who's basically a desert rat. I just hope I don't have to deal with the redneck shitheads.
