If you get good this is absolutely possible so do your own research and try to see what you're lacking. You want durable gear, weight shouldn't be much of a concern.

I for once would love to read from some anon 6 months later telling us how it went, rather than having the thread die after 15 replies and never again hear from op.

That won't be a problem.
I've been fishing since early childhood, and I know what types of fish inhabit different water sources, what time and temperature is optimal for catching various fish, etc.
As for preserving, I've cured fish with my grandfather, both smoked and salted.
Though the environment will be different, the basics should remain the same.

I have two separate books with detailed information about the flora and fauna.
It's just a matter of studying up.

He's right though. I've been going hiking and camping for years and going out for a week or more would be a stretch for me. Just carrying all the food would be difficult. If you're going longer than that you have to either a) resupply along the route like on AT thru-hike, b) have supply drops pre-positioned along the route, c) hunt and gather.

Any of those three options implies an extremely experienced outdoorsman who wouldn't need to rely on anonymous people for advice.

How much hiking experience do you have?
I guess you're going north, probably sarek or something? I've seen a lot of people (from the south generally) overestimate their abilities. I'm not trying to put you down, but you're asking pretty basic questions. The wilderness up there can be unforgiving, and it's very far between places to restock supplies. Of course you learn on the way, but don't be one of those faggots that call mountain rescue because your legs hurt.

OP you need to consider shelter, water and food first for a trip like this, then fill in the gaps like clothes and misc gear later. Are you going to journey to a stagnant spot or through-hike, or possibly stay in 2 or 3 spots? Are you going to attempt to journey to civilization for food or hunt/fish/forage for it?

Here is my advice for a three month wilderness escape: Find a large body of water in a very remote area and stay in either one spot or travel to various spots on the shore. A kayak would be a good idea. Being in close proximity to water will allow you to always have a source of purify-able water and will also be a source of food in the form of fishing and possibly game that may be attracted to it. It will also be very beautiful. As far as a shelter goes if you bring along a tent and some hand-tools I imagine you could construct some sort of primitive shack by the end of the first month. It is too late for you to attempt this now (it is advisable to go spring/summer, maybe Sep-Nov depending on Sweden's climate) so you have some months to prepare.

I am from North America so I do not know the particulars of the dangers of Sweden's backcountry but it sounds like you do. Godspeed if you actually do this anon.
