So, there's this guy on Google+ who wants to walk from London to Beijing (15.000km).

From what I gather, he doesn't really have backpacking experience, or at least not of the long distance type. He's lugging around a shit ton of electronics, wants to travel through Iran and overall strikes me as insanely naive concerning the issues that come up with long distance foot walks.
