What makes a hatchet, a bad hatchet?

I'd like something relatively light weight, but don't want to sacrifice quality. Money is no issue, but please don't suggest any LARPer meme hatchets, honestly tried and true hatchet suggestions only please.

I regularly do 2 week trips 15-20 miles a day. I'm not a true ultralight hiker I'd rather know my shit will work and carry extra weight, than have my shit break when I need it because of a meme.
