Had a 1984 Honda 250R three-wheeler back in the day and flogged the shit out of it
in Michigan's upper Lower Peninsula until the fenders were held together with pop-rivets
and the handle bars were bent to shit, etc. Finally the piston skirt broke and it wouldn't
start and I didn't have the funds to rebuild it, so I pawned it off to a guy who fixed it and
used for years to tow his ice shanty.

not all of them but yeah most do however most are also very fuel efficient and really only start to burn a lot when you get into the 700CC range which is quite a few since all the kids think bigger engines make them cool

anyway for the last 8 years i've used a 05 Honda 350 fourtrax but recently picked up a 2013 Suzuki KingQuad 500 with power steering

i actually know someone with a 09 outlander 600 and 2012 outlander 800, both have had several electrical issues and tons of problems with the transmission which apparently is common

both his ATVs spend at least 3 months every year being fixed for something yet my Honda just keeps on going year after year without a single issue

i've heard the new Honda transmissions are amazing but haven't had a chance to jump on 1 yet, planned to get 1 but Suzuki was $1000 cheaper and they give a $400 farm credit and had a deal that included a free winch so really was to good to pass up

I hope all atvs eventually go beltless. The transmission on my yamaha got flooded one time and it caused my belt to keep on slipping and I had to sit in the middle of nowhere waiting for my belt to dry it sucked

till the new suzuki i've only ever owned manual atvs so don't know much about the belts slipping but i've heard it can be a real issue

Dont have one now.Normally when people asked about my first car ill say I had a four wheeler. I got it at like 12 and we had woods all around our house. '91 Honda Fourtrax 4x4. Damn that thing was awesome. Super Swampers on the front and back. Getting a car at 16 wasn't nearly a big deal as that was. First time getting high, getting drunk, kissing a girl were because of that thing. All that freedom.

One day we were kidding next to a lake. I was pushing my limits and ended up sinking that thing. I pulled it out, drained the carb and air filter compartment and she started right up. I shit you not.

It's also amazing that soothe dumb shit we did on them I wasn't killed. I never wore a helmet and to this day I still haven't even broken a bone in my body.
