Pic related is my Cold Steel Drop Forged survivalist. The grind, profile and length are perfect for me. Yes, it is a single drop forged piece of steel, it is a bit heavy and can be slippery, but it is balanced excellently and it works for me.
I would love to have the survivalist blade but with a regular tang and handle scales. It would be perfect for me.
I will never go back to a go back to a blade that isn't fully flat ground.
