>>1582306They're decent if you go places with lots of dead, dry, small wood readily available. If you go somewhere without a lot of dry deadfall they suck major ass.
They cook significantly slower than pretty much every other type of stove, so don't expect to do anything fancy with them. 10-20 minutes to boil 1L of water depending on what wood you have available to you and what the weather's like.
They stay hot for a long time and everything will be covered in soot. Whatever you carry it in will get nasty fast, and don't expect to be able to pack up shortly after cooking anything. Definitely not a good choice if you plan to boil drinking water.
You will also pretty much NEED a windscreen for it.
