I found wrecked shot up car at the bottom of a canyon not far from my house. In the interest of being a good steward to the environment, and also the fact that it has a complete transmission that is an upgrade for my project car, I'm thinking of robbing the transmission and taking it for myself. Assuming I can't get my truck up there I'd have to hike the 80lb chunk of metal out of the canyon downhill. I'm thinking a metal frame backpack and the help of my brother, but I don't know dick about metal frame backpacks. I've heard of an ALICE pack before, thats all my knowledge. What's the best pack for carrying something like that out on a hike?
