You hardly go camping without paying some parking fee or another, what in the world makes you think you would ever be able to build a house in the middle of no where.
Sure you could buy property but then you'd have to make money and if the goverment ever found out that you actually built a house there, assuming it followed state and local housing codes and regulations they would then make you pay even more in property taxes.
