Help, I can't fall asleep while /out/!
I'm trying to get into bike touring/bikepacking, but so far from my 2 attempts to sleep innawoods, I managed to doze between 6 and 8 the first time, and now I just came back from a completely sleepless overnighter.
I'm not scared of the noises, I'm not particularly uncomfortable (I slept in worse conditions on a night shift at work), the sleep just doesn't come.
I tried on a foam mat, I tried a blow-up mattress, I tried a hammock (I am now convinced that they're a cruel inside joke in the camping community), I tried sleeping outside of the tent to see if it's not the cramped space but the effect is always the same, I lie there perfectly conscious, bored and getting hungry until the sun rises.
