Odd question but does anybody know what the name of this specific fishing lure is? I remember seeing a ton of commercials for it, and I had one when I was a kid until I lost it in a lake. Been looking to get another one.

I doubt that. Everyone who attends those threads still views the catalog at some point.
Many people that are into fishing, never click on fishing general because it's just too broad.
If you are a fly rod guy there is not enough content to make it worth your while, same with many other types of fishing.

Granted, lure discussion in and of itself isn't shit, but there are existing threads for that so no other thread of any kind should die for it. Ideally all threads would be worthwhile and someone could come in at any time, either after an /out/ absence or as a newcomer, and find a board full of good content no matter what its age. Starting new threads should always be as minimal as possible, and only when truly worthy and not when there's already one for the subject, and excepting post limits.
