So, what techniques do you have to throw the farthest, and im talking about a normal lake and not necessarily sea. Altough sea too. You would think that the longer and sturdier the stick and heavier bait, the further it will fly.

Do you freeze icecubes as extra weight and put them on the rod and get a 12 foot rod or do you use somekinda slingshot to throw the whole system as far as possible by putting the weight in the slingshot.
