How do you clean cookware and store trash while out?

A little bit of all-purpose camp soap and a rag for doing dishes, and I try to avoid contaminating any water that looks like people would use it.
For trash, I just store it back wherever I packed it and carry it home to dispose. Takes up less weight and room and I'm not fucking up the wilderness with littering.

To be fair I wouldn't be surprised if some millennials would try to spontaneously go out, especially after watching "Into the Wild". And being an unprepared retard IS the most common reason why people die when out.

But yeah, I agree - tips like that are a waste of time for people that are already trying to plan and prepare. And only those people will actually find this list.

After dinner, I put some clean water in the pot and swirl it around, then drink it
Then add some more clean water to the pot and scrub all of the still attached food with my index finger, swirl the water, and drink it
I keep cleaning with my finger, and drinking the wash water, until there are no visible food remains

I scrub the fatty stuff off with moss/pine needles/sand, then rinse my pot and mug with water. I usually lick my spoon clean and don't wash it.

As for garbage - I usually pack my food in zip locks, and burn them in a campfire at night. It's just PET and burns down to CO2+H2O.

I use wood ash and a sponge with a Brillo pad. I don't use gas cooking equipment, so I always have ash. Ash and water make lye, so it sanitizes the cookware, and of course I use the fire itself to heat the water. As for trash, I camp in bear country so I need to have a canister to store my food anyway. I also use minimally trash-producing foods.

Things I dehydrate in my dehydrate. I just add water for some and eat as is for others. It is all stored in the stock pot. If the trip is actually pretty short then I can just put pre-cooked piping hot stew into my glass-lined, vacuum-insulated carafe and have about 3 days worth of hot food.

I pack out all of my trash, and usually pick up other trash that I see along the trail. However, I do rinse my food pots in lakes and waterfalls, and I also don't bury my shit. I try to shit further off the beaten path, and I usually stuff the toilet paper under a rock or something. Am I a bad person, /out/?
