I lock it to a sign or something if there's one nearby but that's not always available.
I do the best I can to not trash the city.
E-bikes are way better to get around than public transit where I have to wait 20 minutes sometimes for a bus or 10 minutes to transfer trains.
The bikes we have here are technically required to be affixed to something with a cable lock (used to be a u lock) because people would leave them everywhere but you can still lock them to themselves without having them tied to anything of course.
I get that some people misuse them but electric bikes are a genuine alternative for low income people to taking the bus.
