>>1609757Thanks. I'm doing roughly the same. I also catch a bluegill on occasion, and throw the out on a bobber, especially for night fishing. I have hauled in some trophies that way. It's also very fun to watch that lighted bobber swim around, and then suddenly, you can tell the bait is agitated and the bobber moves around like crazy, then zooms away under the water. It also works well at the ocean. I am sure I will get shit for live baiting with a bobber, but it helps me allow for a free swimming bait that can't get caught in structure like sunken rocks or a laydown. I have also had some beastly catfish hit the live baits this way. In saltwater, I have caught anything from sharks, to amberjack, to gator speckled trout. I have hooked tarpon, but have still not landed one of those bad boys yet.
