Do you listen to music while /out/?

I rarely do it. If I'm out hiking or something I want to be immersed in nature with all my senses. Might occasionally listen to a podcast or a comfy album at night in camp but it's really not essential and I'm normally trying to conserve phone battery.

Yes. When I set up camp I'll bring bluetooth speakers and sit down and and play it for hours while feeding the fire. Just because you're outside doesn't mean you can't enjoy other things you like at the same time.

It's the last bastion for true classical composition. There is beautiful music in games. I rarely listen when I'm /out/, but if I am fishing, I like a good beat to try out new rhythms and patterns. Infected Mushroom is good for this, and effective at bringing on the bite.

Names a lot of native and invasive species in a whole lot of different places. I'm from aus and still listen even tho I dont know what he's talking about

I listen to music to screen out noise from the street when at home
I'd never block out nature with headphones, although if I'm not on my own, I like some background music when cooking/setting up camp

Im always out alone and do enjoy listening to an audiobook in the evenings camping, not while hiking. I keep a bluetooth speaker at the tone of someone's voice- still able to listen to nature and not be obnoxious. Its really comfy cause I dont really like being out alone at night.

On long hikes it's more of a treat. I don't mind silence, but above tree line it can become a bit lonely with only the wind and maybe the sound of flowing water. At least hear the sound of leaves and often birds.
