What do YOU wear when you are outdoors??
Lets see a list of your favorite boots/ pant materials/ hats/ sock materials/ etc.

Well, during my usual 7 mile hike through the forest, I usually wear a black Adidas t-shirt (holy shit these things are comfortable) with a North Face jacket (it was a present), a pair of khaki cargo pants (loose, flexible, and comfy), wool socks, and either my Montrail boots (LOVE THESE), or my Irish Setters cold weather boots. I haven't really saved up enough for any legitimate outdoor made clothing, but this stuff seems to do well so far.

Most of the time I'm /out/ I'm working, so I wear Levis jeans and leather gloves with an MSA hardhat as well as timberland boots and a t-shirt, UV rated eye pro and a leather belt.

hat (straw if I don't have to pack it and it won;t get wet, otherwise a Tilley knockoff)

Unless I'm biking or paddling or I'm going out in the rain (because it's cooler when it rains), then I'll wear quick dry nylon shorts.

Fall and winter: synthetic base, wool hoodie, goretex if it's raining, parka if it's freezing, wool socks

Last time (March) went on a a light hike and camped.

Top: Gray henley, tan vest with dark blue shoulders, teal scarf, and a charcoal beanie.

Bottom: slim red chinos with a leg pouch thing, black timberland boots, and wool blend socks.

These LL Bean boots and a Buck 110 folding knife. Clothing wise just regular jeans, cotton shirts, etc. and a thick, lined hoodie for winter. Ghettoish, but it works.

You can feel the ground more than regular boots, but that's an advantage to me - I dislike clomping blindly and not being able to feel what I put my foot on. It's still a very solid pair of boots, and will protect your feet well. I've climbed Mount Major in them.
