I just sprayed a raccoon (who has been eating my cat's dry food outside for the past few months) with pepper spray for about 5 seconds until it finally ran off.

Do you think this will be enough to get it to stay away?

Was really surprised that it took so long to drive it off. Just sniffing the canister after spraying makes me sneeze.
