It’s comfy autumn here lots of rain and dark evenings, crispy cold mornings and the ideal time to get out and record some nature, while most of the population are at home binging Netflix series. Let’s talk about field recording, resources, techniques, mics and recorders.

I’ve recently bought a Tascam DR100 mkiii which is a major step up from the zoom h2n I had previously. I’m mostly interested in ambience and hydrophone recordings
