Only ever dived on the Great Barrier Reef before and I want to get into it. Any tips on how to get into scuba diving on the cheap?

Get certified at your local dive shop. Ask them how to do it. I reccomend SSI because they're the largest but NAUI and PADI also work.

I used to be into technical diving but these days I usually dive down at Pennekamp in Key Largo. I honestly just like looking at fish. The springs around Gainesville make for a nice change of pace though.

Been to a few springs in FL, off the gulf coast of FL, FL Keys, Grand Cayman, and Bonaire. Always wanted to do some wreck dives off of NC coast when I lived in NC but the weather turned to shit and boats canceled every weekend I had an opportunity to go.

The huge walls on Cayman are insane. It was super surreal looking down and watching the wall just disappear into the blue

If you've got a rear zip wetsuit you might be able to undo it and get it out, drysuit people are screwed though, diving seems to make you forget about wanting to do no2 though

I went last year. I don’t remember the five sites, but there’s plentiful sea turtles! If you go in the winter, might be a lot of swells.
