I want to go deep into a wilderness area or national park and set up camp for a good long while. Hunt, fish, cook over an open fire, bring in a wood stove, small solar setup, a walled tent or even build a cheap basic cabin, cut down firewood for heat, plant a garden.
Is this legal? Would park rangers even care if they came across me? What's the penalties, for real? There's gotta be a decent amount of this going on already.
When I was living in degenerate coastal massachusetts, the green cops would tell me about the homeless camps they'd come across a couple hundred yards into the woods behind Walmart. The bums built actual homes out there, had electricity and shit, ATVs and cars etc. And the green cops said they left them alone. That's in massachusetts, I'd go to a red state down south or out west.
I just want to know more about how to do this.
