I kinda like the first up, the Zun Lotoo, op pic. Who names this chinko shit? I don't know, but do not be adverse to new processes and materials. Heck, you can always stick to Cold Steel and United Cutlery! Also shown.

Condor 6" blade shovel in OD. I tried the coldsteel but found it was too large and for most every task I've used it for I haven't missed the added handle length. If I could I would remove the dumb serrations on the side, and mine came with a few rough patches on the handle but can you do.

I do love Condor knives and machetes, a simple design is good. My current shovel is compact, non-folding, fiberglass shank, round head w/D-handle. I love it, from Dollar General. I wish I had bought two. Just not very light or compact.

I have a 35 inch shovel that screws together. Includes fishing knife, fire starter, pick axe, whistle. All in all it’s served me pretty well. I used it to carve a dirt path through the forest near my place.

I got the Gerber E Tool which says is 2.3 lbs but feels heavier in my load so I've left it out, but sure do wish I had a good shovel for my perma/out/ lifestyle. All I still have is a little stainless folding trowel for shit holes. I'd like to be able to make Dakota fires at the very least.

I used to run with a shovel but I now only use a dig knife for most /out/ings. It's practical but I did like having the extra leverage at times. I usually only switch it up by carrying both during certain climate changes through out the year
