Evening /out/.
I just bagged my first pond-duck because I can't stand their deliciousness being so close yet out of reach. Without going into the gory details, it's on my porch right now, waiting to be plucked and breasted (which I've never done but am fairly confident I can make it happen, even if it isn't too glamorous looking). My question that google doesn't seem to want to help me with, is what to look out for on wild (urban?) ducks. It's an adult or late adolescent female (Southern WI). Ticks, diseases, things they take in from their habitat. I know they tend to visit at least one pond that has duckweed removal chemicals in it. Anything I should be concerned about? I'll be monitoring.
pic not related, just some oc urbex.
