And i'll do a little bit of a write up about it in case anyone else is looking to go there.
Saturday and sunday were unbareably crowded with loads of fags i assumed were down from san francisco. Literally every stop on the highway had people milling about taking selfies or whatever. i stepped in dog shit at some random vista. the roads aren't really fun to drive at this time either because you will get stuck behind some crossover or other unattractive car. I would definitely recommend trying to go during the week instead of the weekend because after sunday afternoon the crowds really died down and it was a lot nicer. Still pretty crowded for a national park but not nearly as bad.
>>1627088In response to this question, i'd say it's pretty good, but probably overhyped because it's close to SF and LA. My wife said the oregon coast is just as amazing, if not better, without the crowds. But it's still pretty cool and if you can get there on a weekday it's probably worth it.
The park is kind of weird because everything is just situated around highway 1, other than a few backroads, so it sort of feels claustrophobic.
If you are going to go camping i would recommend finding hikes that are in the park you are camping in and not trying to do much of anything that is at the other end of the park or anywhere else because otherwise you'll spend all your time in the car and not enjoying the park.
The nicest parks are to the north of the area.
Overall i'd say worth it to check out at least once and even better if you live nearby and can get to know it well, but the crowds and calibre of people found here really kill it.
