Share your story of your experience with either nettles, poison ivy, or something similar. I’ll go first

>my brother and I decide to wrestle
>brother throws me to ground
>feel something tingly at first
>dafuq
>suddenly my entire arm and lower back stings like a bitch
>feels like absolute hell, like I just fell into a pit of spikes
>realized I just landed in a bed of nettles
>start to cry
>dad starts laughing at me

I didn't remember nettles being so potent. Haven't been stung in, like, 20 years.

Nettles are my favourite plants. You can make lunch, rope and lots of other cool stuff of it. Lucky we dont have poison ivy where i live.

Since then I've made cordage out of nettles, eat them regularly, and turned one poison ivy plant into a bonsai.

it's been years since i've encountered poison ivy, but i've been on the receiving end of poison oak a few times

I'm pretty resistant to poison ivy, the only time I ever got it was when I was fucking wasted practicing slingshot in the same spot on top of it for hours and it was just a couple little bubbles on my ankle and my finger I picked any dropped BBs.

HOWEVER. I am not immune to what the fuck ever I got about a decade ago. I don't know it if was poison oak or sumac or some other completely unrelated thing but both of my shins turned fucking purple, swelled up twice their size and weeped orange blisters for about two weeks. It was unbelievable, I looked like a zombie movie character. My friend got the same thing but mine seemed to be more severe. We know basically where we got it, the perimeter of an elk pen near a third friend's house, but no real idea what it was. Shit SUCKED

Hate to spoil your fun but poison ivy never gets that large. It's likely that the vine was another species and the poison ivy grew up it.

Last time was this summer. It was night and I had to piss, walked to a tree and right into a bunch of nettles in my shorts and sandals. Still finished my piss first.

Not true. A few years ago I cut the bottom of a couple vines climbing up a sycamore tree. The are about 2 inches in diameter each and reach about 30 feet up in the tree. The leaves were poison ivy and as careful as I was I still got a small amount of rash the following day. Some are rather fucking impressive.
