How am I supposed to know which kind of outdoor clothing I should be purchasing? Every time I go skiing or hiking I always inevitably see a group decked out in the perfect combination of Patagonia or Black Diamond shit that looks lightweight, comfortable, and actually effective. Meanwhile I am miserably wearing my oversized wool jacket, hiking boots, and beanie which never seems to do shit. Where do I even start? I looked into hiking jackets and this Arcteryx one is like $550 or some bullshit.
