yea. i have a group of outdoorsy friends over there. ive been an outdoorsy person since i was young. we would always go on camping trips with the school/ i used to go with my father 4x4 driving around.

dont know about the general public but my circle of friends are into outdoor activities. we camp yes, but not really into hiking. although ive gone on pretty long hikes with the school. as for water you would need to carry it with you. jordan is one of the poorest countries in terms of water. we actually got a case of mass poisining once on a hike with my class mates because the army officers with us told us that we could drink from some random stream. 30 people ended up in some shitty hospital in desert. oh i have shit tons of stories from that trip. ill share one now

It's scary but absolutely amazing at the same time. It's like the adrenaline rush you get from being in a fist fight x1000. You get toa point where you hope somebody is gonna shoot at you when you go outside the wire. IEDs are much scarier than a firefight in my opinion. I did. Never went to Iraq. There's a lot of vets on /k/ if you've always wanted to talk to one.

we train a lot of other middle eastern countries and do joint training with US, france uk etc. we also have the biggest special forces gun show in the world (SOFEX). my friends father is in charge of that

I love the desert, and miss mine (Mojave). The open space, warm nights and tall mountains are gorgeous. And the rock climbing is rad. Fossil Falls, just north of my home town, is one of my very-favorite places in the world.

That's rad looking. Here's a pic from online of the mojave covered in snow (you can tell by the Joshua Trees). We only got snow every five years, or so. School would be cancelled if there was enough to stick to the ground, because it was so rare that no parents would deprive their kids of the chance to play in it, so no one would go to school anyhow.

yea it snows in jordan once a year or every two years. everyone goes mental from an inch or two of snow. used to have a lot of fun going around throwing snow balls at cars and shit. i remember my dad always made it a point to take us out during snow days because he said "life doesnt stop when it snowed" (he lived for like 8 years in canada)

snow days were fun. we would go on the back of pick up trucks and drive around the city throwing snow balls and shit. i missed a huge snow storm this year (live in canada)

Hah--I moved from my desert (Mojave) to Canada (Quebec) too. This is my first winter up here, and I'm told snow was relatively light, this year. I think I've seen more snow in one winter than I had seen combined, in Southern California, over 30 years.

I bike or hike South Mountain with my dog all the time. I live about 10 minutes from the 46th street trail head.

I'm over by 19th ave I just hike right up the mountain and hit a trail when ever I feel like going.

Got a tacticool German Shep a couple of months ago that I'm going to be taking up when ever he gets a little bigger.

Nice. That pup looks cute as hell, and I do a bit of shooting myself. I don't think I've ever done any of the trails east of the parking lot up by the radio towers. That's always where I've turned around to head back.
