Cheap eBay Chinese outboard

I just bought two of these.

Plan is to keep one for spares or parts.

I'm not sure if they'll actually turn up but I'm guaranteed with PayPal and eBay plus to get my cash back so no issues.

They state there's a 7 year parts warranty which I highly doubt.

What is this witch craft? Taking bets on if they'll arrive and or how fast it will break

This has to be some sort of scam, the shipping alone cost more than the engine itself. What about customs? I don't think anyone will believe its an $25 engine if it even shows up. Anyway keep us posted this is gonna be interesting.

Also i just checked, Tohatsu 15hp goes for about 2375 euros here, so given the price is $28.59 i'm pretty sure some retard intern just put them on ebay because he was told to do it for "twenty eight, fifty nine".
$2859 with free ww shipping sounds about right.

Tohatsu is a major selling brand in Japan and China. It's the equivalent of Evinrude / Johnson. That's an £800 outboard. There is no way two of those from the pic are going to actually show up.

It days they've shipped. I bet they haven't.

For starters, looking at the feedback and sales history for the seller he's clearly had the account for about 6 months and has sold himself 60 or so tshirts for around $1300HKD to build his profile up.

It's definitely a scam, but the cash is guaranteed to come back via PayPal buyer protection.. so I'm interested to know how eBay and PayPal stop these scams from happening :s

I wonder if anything at all will show up or if it'll be a box with a picture of an engine in it or something funny.. I kind of hope some effort goes in to this
