Moras in general are known to be great knives for relatively small prices (model depending), so my assumption would be this is as well, particularly for rope. You'll need a way to sharpen serrations, I have a sharpener with a rod built into the side for that. Are you a semen? I know we have a couple here and have seen mentions of them working with rope on a daily basis.

Looks fine if rope cutting is something you're going to be doing a lot of, also looks ok for light garden work.
As long as you have a round file to touch up the serrations you should be good to go.
It could also work as a back up steak knife.

I don't like moras. The mora/bic™ cult are irritating. They say the whole draw is they only cost $3 and a suck job but that's just the lousy stainless one and the decent steel costs as much or more than a knife that doesn't feel like it was designed for a lego person.
