Stop jerking off to old pictures of hunters and homesteaders and take a hike. I hunt on an 800 acre tree farm (it's just a forest but we get tax cuts for it) and I can tell you that I could get the same experience as hunting by just doing the same stuff, but without guns or the promise of meat at the end. I'd prefer to actually be hunting, but having a gun (or booze or a cigar) is in no way, shape, or form a prerequisite to appreciating nature.
You not an 1800s professional hunter that lives in Africa and you never will be one. You will never hunt for necessity in your entire life. You will never be given a land grant to homestead in the west.
It is okay to appreciate material things in conjunction with nature, but claiming that ANY material products are an essential aspect of nature is stupid consumerist bullshit.
