>>1640196Bless your heart, Anon. I hope I've been a good father myself (son just began college). I didn't do my son in that manner, and gave everything I had to prepare him for this shit fucking world, but I am sure there were failings mixed in. It's great that it apparently didn't kill your own personal joy for /out/, as you are here among us, and I always enjoy geepses showing up. What are your present day /out/ings like?
>>1640195OP, definitely take this Anon's advice. Always let your son know that they are a cherished human being, and give them encouragement in anything they show natural interest in, help them to develop it, offer gentile criticism and guidance. It's something of a fine line to walk between being an asshole and "participation trophy". Walk him around and just show him neat things, even something as simple as examining sticks together. Little kids can find neat sticks and rocks to be interesting and magical, sometimes. Show him skipping rocks, which might be tough for him to achieve, but he might find it awesome to see as just being possible at all, and try himself as hard as he can. This will also add to (You) being "Superman" in his little eyes. There's some great advice in this thread. I think /out/ is more deserving than /k/ of the "magical place" slogan.
