How does one prepare for the inevitable?

No.1646822 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Zoomer who lives in a mix between an urban and suburban area. I dont have any family near me that like going out. I currently dont have access to a car or bike, but will in the coming months. I want to learn survival/out skills like fishing, hunting, camping and etc, how would I get into this? As I stated before I have no family who cares about those topics or would teach me. But once I get access to a vehicle I am going to try to go /out/ with friends in the North East, where should I go? What should I get and where from? I dont have that much money currently and I am close to, but not yet 18 so they are certain items I cant get yet.

Secondly I am positive that a solar flare or something like that is going to spiral civilization down a path of chaos. So I wish to prepare I have begun to learn about electronics and Ham radio (taking the FCC test sometime soon I hope). I want to learn skill sets for survival and being out as well. Many of you talk about bunkers and living in a really rural area, but currently that isnt an option for me. What are so more cheap ways I can get prepared? Who should I try to group up with, because most people here are city loving fags who aren't concerned with the outdoors. In the US are they any small towns or areas with a low population density, but not low enough to the point where your basically the only person for 100 miles.

Its been years since I have seen the nights sky in its natural state with stars dotting it. I fucking hate this urban/suburban place I live in, but have to deal with it for another year. With little to no experience with real /out/ (I have been on trails, parks, and small woodlands plenty of times, but I am not sure if this counts) how does one become an /out/sman?
