Anyone here explore abandoned buildings, ghost towns, mines, etc. that are left to rot in the middle of nowhere? After watching some videos from "explore with us" I wanted to explore some of the things down here in southern Nevada. It's also a good excuse to use my dirt bike and 4x4.
Lived in southern Nevada my whole life and never actually "explored" past offroad trails and such. Anyone have any tips or things I should look out for? I'd essentially be traveling alone, and since much of this is in the middle of nowhere (Nevada is sketchy at times) I'd need:
Short supply of food/water
First aid
PLB in case I get lost/stuck
Spare gas
Portable compressor/battery backup
Tire change kit and a spare for dirtbike in back
Gopro to video anything cool that probably won't happen
Small camelback
Flashlight
Whatever gear for mines/tunnels I might need
What else might I need? I want to look at some of these random buildings on public land that are way away from any civilization or roads. I'm finding some interesting ones on google earth. Obviously not going in restricted/gated areas or on private farmland.
Pic semi related.
