>>1650355I was bow hunting out of a tree stand a few weekends ago. Deer everywhere, lots of rut activity. I’m grunt calling to often to try and bring bucks in towards these doe that are closer to me. It’s getting late in the evening losing light. See a buck make a bee line for the doe, almost draw back, but he’s booking and moving way to fast. Start grunt calling to bring him back and he seems pretty content to stay with the doe, look back to the where he came out of. Second buck comes through the same tree line 40 yds from the stand. Draw back fire, looks like I hit him based on his reaction from the shot but it’s hard to tell he runs off through the timber. Climb down to look for arrow and it’s bloody from tip to fletch. Start to track his blood trail across a property line. It’s dark out now cause it’s nov and the days are super short. Stopped by two middle aged guys after following the blood trail about 20 yds from the spot where he was shot.
>“You aren’t suppose to be hunting out here, this is private property.”“I know I’m not suppose to be hunting out in these woods but I have permission from the landowner to hunt on the plot next to these woods. I shot a deer on my side of the fence and he ran back through here, not hunting just tracking.”

“Okay so no tracking deer we shot on our land over here?”
